..... in 1983, when Burt and Rose Berry felt called to begin a church in Busselton. Prior to this there was a group of Christians meeting together as a "Four Square" church. They named the baby church "Busselton Assembly of God." Then in 1985, it was decided to purchase land and building in Kent street Busselton. The church began to grow, and in 1986 it came under the leadership of Peter Atkin.
A new chapter began in 1989, with the arrival of Ps Alan and Melanie George. They left Katoomba NSW, and brought their 4 children to pastor the church in Busselton. The church became known as "Christian Family Centre Busselton" and continued to grow. Another name change for the church came in 1996, when the church adopted the name Abundant Life Centre Busselton.
Then in Oct 2013, Ps Alan and Melanie retired after nearly 25 years of service. Ps Tony & Michelle Peak were asked, and felt called to lead the church into a new season. The church is currently reaching many people every week through its weekend services and mid-week programs and outreaches. Ps Tony Peak and the team at Abundant Life Centre Busselton continue to work under God’s direction and grace to make this a thriving church that will transform our city and region. God is certainly at work at Abundant Life Centre, and we invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is clear and people are free to pursue the call God has placed on them with passion!
