What is missing?Do you ever feel that there is something important missing from your life? A vital part of your existence that just isn’t there? Do you feel an emptiness, a longing deep within your soul, and wish that it could be filled?
If you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ personally, that is the problem. God the giver and sustainer of all life, is missing from your life. The Bible says that without Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, you are “dead in trespasses and sin.” (Ephesians 2:1) How did it happen? |

In the Garden of Eden, before mankind sinned, Adam and Eve were alive, that is, “spiritually” alive. They walked in perfection, and one-ness with God. Everything was perfect, until one day! God said to them; “… You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17)
On that day, when they disobeyed God and ate of the fruit, they died a “spiritual” death. Sin entered in and they were separated from God. Since then every one of us has been born into sin. “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, … in this way death came to all men, because all have sinned. (Romans 5:12) “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” (Psalm 51:5) “As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one;” (Ro 3:10) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
The results of sin are truly devastating! “Spiritual” death, physical death, and ultimately eternal death are the consequences for those who die without Jesus Christ. This is eternal separation from God in Hell fire.

What has been done about it?
Jesus Christ, the God-man, was not a partaker of sinful man’s bloodline. He was perfect, sinless, righteous, holy, born of a virgin, and God in the flesh. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” (Jn 1:1-3) “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. He offered Himself, the perfect sinless sacrifice to God, to purchase man back from the sin which separates him from God. He came to give life back to mankind. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.” (John 5:24-25)

Now it is up to you !My friend, do you hear His voice calling you through these scriptures? God wants to breathe life into you. This receiving of new life from Jesus Christ is what He calls being “born again”.
We see this in the Bible when Jesus says to Nicodemus that “… no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again … Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” (John 3:3,6) My friend, repent! Turn to God from your sin, and embrace the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and be born of God. God promises in Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” When you turn to God, the missing link will be found, the empty void will be filled. You will become a child of God, He will be your Father, and you will be his son / daughter. Your past will be forgiven , your future secured, and your present victorious. “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:12) |
